Breathe Deeply

Today I thought about the importance of breathing!  We breathe in this invisible air that for the most part (except really cold days) we can't see, yet we know it exists.  It is the only way that we can live and without it our organs begin to fail us and we can no longer operate at full capacity and can even die.  We have enough faith though to know that we need air to live.

There are many people who have trouble just being able to breathe.  I used to work closely with a woman who later developed a lung problem and I watched her struggle just to do things like walk to the rest room and go up the steps to the building we worked in.  It used to hurt my heart to see her this way but she would always tell me how important it was just to be able to breathe deeply.  She was often cold in her body due to the lack of oxygen she was getting and it made me appreciate and realize then more than ever the importance of breathing.  Something so simple yet so complex, we sometimes never stop to think about how awesome it is just to be able to BREATHE, thank you Lord!

As I sit today bombarded with the thoughts of all the things that I have to do, all the plans that I have made, financial responsibilities etc. , I stopped to  just breathe deeply and be thankful for life, health & strength to see another day.  

We can make all the plans we want but it is the LORD that determines our steps.
(Proverbs 16:9)

Like the air that we breathe, we can’t see God but life without Him is one that is detrimental to our health for it limits our potential and will eventually lead to death.

Today I pray that whoever reads this realizes the importance of breathing deeply and realizing that God is with you.  Take in that invisible air and allow it to saturate all of your inward parts to make you stronger and more productive, energized and alive!  Breathe out ugly thoughts, stress and negativity in prayer.  God will guide you and give you the necessary breath you need to make it another day, if you believe that air is real and cannot see it - why not God?  The choice is yours - be limitless!  Breathe Deeply!
